Since ancient times it has been believed Turquoise, the beautiful Arizona state gemstone, brings good fortune and is considered to be the, "Gemstone of the people."

Representing AKC dog clubs in Maricopa’s West and Northwest Valley, Kachina Kennel Club and Arrowhead Kennel Club united to bring the Great Arizona Dog Show to our community. This union promises to bring good fortune and winners’ ribbons to all our exquisite dogs and their human helpers! Thus, the Turquoise Cluster is the name best suited to describe our shows! Turquoise Cluster is the “Great Arizona Dog Show” at the great Arizona venue! The University of Phoenix Stadium is the premier dog show location. Providing an incredible show site both indoors and out.

Exhibiting at the show will be some of the top dogs in the country. Excellent examples of their breeds, this is the perfect opportunity  to learn about different breeds; why they look like they do, what they were bred to do, how breeders are working to maintain the individuality among breeds, and most importantly, which breed  best fits into your lives. Many of these dogs still Perform and enjoy the work they were bred to do, whether they are working on a farm, sitting on a lap, or doing community work, such as working as Therapy dogs, R.E.A.D dogs, etc. Or all of these activities!

Come see the dogs doing intricate obedience work as well as the fast and fun agility Dogs!! This year, for the first time, we will have mixed breed dogs competing in agility. We are all looking forward to welcoming them into our AKC family! 

 Dog show tours will be regularly scheduled throughout the day. Our tour leaders will take you directly to the show floor to see the conformation dogs being judged, the shopping area, where you can buy anything your dog desires, the behind the scenes grooming section, and the food court where you will find delicious selections prepared specially each day. When you arrive look for the people wearing, what else?, Turquoise shirts. They will be happy to answer your questions.

Kachina Kennel Club, the first kennel club in the west valley, was formed in 1975 and held their first all breed show in 1978. The shows on the 9th and 10th of April 2010 will be our 57th and 58th all breed conformation shows. Kachina KC provides many activities for members and the dog lovers’ community at large. Activities such as; conformation, obedience, rally, agility, as well as Therapy and R.E.A.D dogs & Canine Ambassador offer a full slate for those play and work with and for dogs.

We strongly believe in supporting our community and have donated to Animal shelters, police dog equipment, Make a Wish, Take the Lead, West Side Food Bank as well as many other deserving organizations.

Arrowhead Kennel Club was founded in June 1992 by a group of people who had the vision that an all-breed kennel club was needed in the northwest valley near Phoenix Arizona. Arrowhead offers educational meetings, sanctioned matches, and fun days for our dogs. Our members are active in the community with their dogs participating in therapy visits to schools, hospital & retirement homes and AKC sponsored events such as, “Responsible Dog Ownership Day.”

April 11 and 12 , 2010 will be Arrowhead KC’s first and second all breed licensed shows.  Having  worked long and hard towards this event, we are very excited to be joining Kachina Kennel Club in the University of Phoenix Stadium to present Arizona's Great Dog Show.........
